SOMETHING THAT TOOK PLACE IN SCHOOL

Last Friday, I woke up feeling excited and energized like never before and looked forward to that day.  In fact, so eager was I to get to school that I almost forgot to bring my bag.  What was it that got me so perked up, you might ask.  Well, it was the first day where the Secondary One students will join my CCA… NPCC.

I sat on the cold hard floor, waiting impatiently for my squad-mates and the Secondary One students to arrive. The falling in time was 2.15pm, however by 2.00pm, there was already a steady flow of secondary 1 students arriving

During our training, the Secondary One juniors witnessed the seniors doing drills. I felt nervous as all of their eyes were on me and my fellow mates.  Later, as a bonding game, we played soccer at the field.  We split into different teams, the sec 1 against the sec2. The game was very thrilling and of course, the sec 2 team won the match.

Towards the end of the training, our seniors told my squad-mates and me to each pair up with a Secondary 1 junior.  Our job was supposed to make them feel welcomed into the family of NPCC and to guide them along the way.  After everyone had a buddy, we had a fifteen minutes chat session to allow us to interact and communicate with each other.  I introduced myself to my buddy and found out that my buddy’s name is Hasbi.  I felt that this training was a good way to start off the new year.
